Newsletter No.2

Welcome to Pentharmonics' pre-Christmas newsletter!

In keeping with the season, three Christmas songs in colorful arrangements for a 5-part ensemble are presented in this issue.
The first arrangement is "Alle Jahre wieder", which combines 3 stanzas with preludes and interludes. Each stanza is harmonized a little differently. A single bow is thus spanned over the entire song. The following demo version was instrumented for brass quintet.

The second song is "Es wird scho 'glei' dumpa", with two stanzas arranged structurally similar to the previous piece. The following demo version is set up for saxophone quintet (2 alto, 2 tenor, baritone).

The circle is closed with Silent Night - in conversation demo in the arrangement for horn quintet. The 5th horn part is present in both the treble and bass clef.

All three songs are summarized in the
Silent Trilogy, which is available for the three instrumentations mentioned above. The saxophone or brass version is moderately difficult with difficulty level 3. The arrangement for horn quintet is somewhat more difficult due to the range of notes and is therefore classified as level 4. In addition, all versions are set in the same (sounding) key. This means that the silent trilogy can also be played with an extended or mixed ensemble.

The next edition of the newsletter will be available in the new year in which both ensemble and orchestral works will be presented again. Finally, have a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and many wonderful moments with music! Pentharmonic greetings
